Cleft lip - palate may be seen together or separately. It is a basic area of reconstructive surgery.

It requires a deeper treatment process and teamwork due to orthodontic treatment necessity, diet recommendations, speaking therapy, and risk of otitis media.

Additional procedures are required for any anomalies to occur with the procedure.

For a cleft lip, if the baby has a normal development, surgery can be performed in the 3rd month, and for cleft palate the surgery can be performed in 10th month.

It requires special care from placing an apparatus to the nose to the proper diet before and after the operation.

First of all, it should be noted that this treatment is performed successfully and when it is determined (probably before birth), additional abnormalities should be evaluated.
