Accumulation of secretions to keep the skin moist, and sometimes infection may cause cysts that need to be removed with cover.
The most ideal situation is that the cysts should be removed with the cover and before getting infected. Generally, they are removed under local anesthesia and with very fine sutures. Scar after cyst removal varies depending on the location and patient.
Removed material should be examined in a pathological aspect. Rarely, they may be malignant cysts and require additional treatment.
