Fat injection can be applied almost in any area where volume is required.

It is generally used to correct the hollow between lower eyelid and cheek, cheekbone or lip augmentation, buttock and / or breast filling and genu valgum correction.

Advantages and disadvantages of fat Injection:

The most important of fat injection is that it is obtained from your own tissue and richer than stem cells. The most important disadvantage is that t requires anesthesia if volume needing is much during the fat collection procedure. Fat tissue is obtained with very small incisions.

Small scars of these incisions may be permanent after the procedure.

Fat injection process:

The procedure should be definitely performed under hospital conditions. General or local anesthesia may be applied depending on the volume of the fat. Out of injected fat, just a part of the fat which contacts with your tissue will live.

Therefore, in fat injection with high volume, a part of the fat tissue will not live. To avoid these problems, a small amount of fat injection should be applied to a wide area. Your fat tissue is transplanted after some processes under sterile conditions.

40% of the injected fat within approximately six months does not remain. Therefore, 2nd and 3rd sessions may be required. Due to this loss, if it is injected in excess amount, area of the skin in areas with thin skin such as face may enlarge. Small volumes are better to provide a healthy application and to avoid skin enlargement.

After fat injection:

To prevent swelling and bruise after fat injection, head elevation and cold application for 1-2 days may be required. Recovery time is depending on the fat amount. In buttock and breasts, a pressured dressing, even corset may be required on fat removal area. Less pressure is required in the area to which the fat is injected. The dressing is easy as very small incisions are used. Even though the result can be seen right after fat injection, permanent results can be seen after 6 months. After this process, 2nd or 3rd session fat injection is evaluated.
